Today’s blog is a quick one. I’ve grouped six photos of pinks and purples growing now in my garden beds and planters. When you look at the big picture of our yard, you see lots of green. To find the colorful bright spots, you have to walk around and search out the colors.
You know I intentionally include plenty of white in the garden. I have a smattering of red and blue here and there and more yellow this year than I ordinarily use. But I love the pinks and purples. More will follow as things continue growing through the season.

As in life, it sometimes seems like the big picture is pretty drab or worse. You might believe it if you feast on a steady diet of daily news or wallow in your own thoughts. However, if you know where to look, you can find beauty, goodness, and joyful surprises.
Finally, brothers & sisters, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things. – Phillippians 4:8
