2022 Lenten Photo-a-day Challenge Week 5: March 29- April 4

I’m giving only scripture prompts with the photos this week. Use them as you meditate on the daily themes. Do my pictures speak to them, or are they a stretch?

TUESDAY, MARCH 29: SERVED

Mark 10:45  For even the Son of Man did not come to BE SERVED, but TO SERVE, and to give His life a ransom for many.”

Philippians_2:7  but made himself nothing, taking the form of a SERVANT, being born in the likeness of men.

WEDNESDAY, MARCH 30: ANOINTED

Numbers_3:3  These are the names of the sons of Aaron, the ANOINTED PRIESTS, whom he ordained to serve as priests.

1Peter 2:5  you also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a HOLY PRIESTHOOD, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.

THURSDAY, MARCH 31: CARED

Deuteronomy 32:10  In a desert land he found him, in a barren and howling waste. He shielded him and CARED for him; he guarded him as the apple of his eye,

Psalm 8:4  what are human beings, that you think of them; mere mortals, that you CARE for them?

FRIDAY, APRIL 1: KEEP

John_14:15  “If you love me, you will KEEP my commandments.

John_14:24  Whoever does not love me does not KEEP my words. And the word that you hear is not mine but the Father’s who sent me.

James_2:8  If you really KEEP the royal law found in Scripture, “Love your neighbor as yourself,” you are doing right.

SATURDAY, APRIL 2: ALWAYS

Matthew 28:20b  “…And behold, I am with you ALWAYS, to the end of the age.”

1 Corinthians_15:58  Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, ALWAYS abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain.

1 Thessalonians_5:15  See that no one repays anyone evil for evil, but ALWAYS seek to do good to one another and to everyone.

SUNDAY, APRIL 3: CELEBRATE

Luke_15:24  For this my son was dead, and is alive again; he was lost, and is found.’ And they began to CELEBRATE.

1Corinthians_5:8  Let us therefore CELEBRATE the festival, not with the old leaven, the leaven of malice and evil, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.

MONDAY, APRIL 4: SENT

1John_4:14  And we have seen and testify that the Father has SENT his Son to be the Savior of the world.

Galatians_4:6  And because you are sons, God has SENT the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, crying, “Abba! Father!”

Joh 20:21  Jesus said to them again, “Peace be with you. As the Father has SENT me, even so I am SENDING you.”

Have a wonderful, blessed week.

Shalom, Dottie
